Be Active in Glenorchy
Glenorchy can deservedly be called the tramping capital of New Zealand as a gateway to the Mt Aspiring National Park (part of the Southwest World Heritage Area) which includes the famous Routeburn, Rees-Dart and Greenstone-Caples Tracks and a number of other short walks.
WE WILL HAPPILY BOOK ALL ACTIVITIES FOR YOU - FOR FREE & HASSLE FREE.

Your host Vladka is always ready to guide you and share her knowledge of the bush and history of the area as a professional licensed track & trails guide.
If you are not into walking - not a worry. Glenorchy always has something for everyone - take your time and explore the quiet aspects of the area or go for an exhilarating experience!
Our pristine rivers of Routeburn, Greenstone, Caples or Diamond Creek will take you into a fly-fishing heaven... With your camera you can take the most dynamic or tranquil photographs to reflect upon. Remember that the wild South is very enchanting through the lens over all the seasons. Feeling better on the water? How about dipping a paddle in the calm waters of Lake Wakatipu to kayak across to the islands of Mātau (Pig Island), Wāwāhi-Waka (Pigeon Island)?
Want to experience a hint of real high country stations life? Saddle up and take a horse ride through Wyuna Station with an experienced horse guide.
For the ultimate adrenalin rush consider either a wilderness Jetboat Safari on the braided Dart River into Mt Aspiring National Park or take a breath taking birds-eye view of all this from above - with Stefan, the local chopper pilot hero. The helicopter will pick you up and drop you off in front of your windows!!!
The adventure doesn’t end with the winter either. Strap on your skis or board and enjoy the untouched snows on the challenging slopes of the Invincible Ski field.
